Valentines just started dating

‘But if you’re taking it slow and seeing how things go, then you might want to give a light-hearted nod towards Valentine’s Day – a jokingly cheesy card or a chocolate heart.’ Essentially, if you and the person you’re dating have been super mushy and romantic from the get-go, you’ll probably want to do something for Valentine’s Day.

If you’ve been keeping it casual, haven’t said the L word, and haven’t organised any romantic gestures, it’d be a bit weird to suddenly make a huge effort for Valentine’s Day.

We have spent a great deal of time talking to each other about a great many things and there is some chemistry going on here that I am expecting to develop into something more (there is just some additional issues to deal with that I am going to also post about in a separate topic) So mulling over ideas. I'm an avid reader and a book always makes a nice gift. Flowers and a gift certificate to get a massage or a spa day. I once faced the same thing a long time ago and hadn't a clue. Done the nice dinner at a nice place with her Sat night.

Shes a starbucks lover, so gift card to starbucks was one idea, stuffed animal was another, lingere is possible as well. Esp from you ladies, if you recently met someone, found a connection to him and am interested, but at the same time want to take things slow.... That's just tacky when you've only just met this woman. I went out looking around and saw a silk pillow big red pair of kissing lips. I can do it again, but I do not want to repeat something so soon....

So I don't want to give her something that is counter-productive to that goal she has. So many meaningful ideas are spoken and sitting there...

And when you’re not quite coupled up but not quite single, when you’re dating, or you’ve just met someone new, the looming presence of Valentine’s Day is absolute torture. Is it appropriate to buy stuff with hearts on if you haven’t said ‘I love you’ yet?

She's near NYC so there must be a billion things to choose from.. Groupon isn't a terrible place to start for this kind of thing. And then dinner somewhere was just talked about on the phone with her, so I'm figuring i'll do that..Shes a starbucks lover, so gift card to starbucks was one idea, stuffed animal was another, lingere is possible as well. It's not as much about the gift as it is about paying attention. Had her over for late lunch/early dinner yesturday, cooked basil pesto stuffed pork chops for her.what would you find to be a something that brought a smile to your face? Any less time than that, and you’re probably rushing into V Day romance too quickly. And secondly, because if you didn’t exchange gifts over Christmas, you haven’t yet hit the gift-exchanging stage.
